Come see a Charlie Chaplin silent movie, The Circus, with a Juno-winning concert organist playing live to provide the movie sound in the original way. A little under 100 years ago – 1928 – in the early days of moving pictures on screens, Chaplin made The Circus.
Maple Grove United Church is presenting an authentic version with Live Organ Music, just the way audiences back then would have experienced it!
Aficionados of movie history and media students have the opportunity to find out what the origins of screen art, of moving pictures, was like for the early audiences
