Message from Bobbi-Jo
There is a little 10 year old girl that has had a long journey with Perthes disease. From having to wear a leg brace for almost a year, to postponement of her operation many times due to COVID, to finally having to go through her operation and now doing school in bed!(http://www.oandplibrary.com/al/1968_02_036.asp)
It has been difficult for her and her mom (who has three other children) and there is still four weeks to go in her body cast, that may or may not be removed.
My family and I have sent her get well cards with gift cards and one of our Maple Grove members sent her a package with colouring and books. The email from her mom was an outpouring of tears and gratefulness. She said it just brightened her day that was otherwise a “bad” day.
I am wondering, to brighten her four more weeks of bed and body cast, if you could send her a card or a little package? If you would like to, please email or call the office to get her information.
