Booked for Lunch – September 20th

Join Rev. Jessica for a new book discussion group called Booked for Lunch.  The first gathering will be in the Friendship Room at noon on September 20th.  Bring a bagged lunch and come ready to discuss the book Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer.  As a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, the author embraces the notion that plants and animals are our oldest teachers. In Braiding Sweetgrass, Kimmerer shares stories and wisdom of different plants and animals including the pecans, strawberries and goldenrod and talks about the interconnectedness of all creation.  This is a wonderful summer read full of interesting stories!
