Children’s Book – He’ll Always Be My Dad

He’ll Always be my Dad

Update: An official Book Launch was held Saturday April sixth at the Lighthouse for Grieving Children for Chrissy Lilly’s children’s book “He’ll Always be my Dad”. The book is dedicated to Jim, Regan and Jorja, and also to the Lighthouse, a caring, valuable and essential organization in Oakville that supports and guides families through their grief journey.

The book will be available for sale following the service, or through the church office. It may be purchased for personal use, for anyone who has lost a loved one, or as a donation to be used as a gift to families being served by Lighthouse. The book deals with death through a child’s honest eyes. The cost is $25, and after covering production costs, all proceeds will be donated to Lighthouse.

The Lilly family thanks the Maple Grove family for your support and encouragement of this project.

Chrissy Lilly has written and published a hard cover book that is now available. It is a story of two little girls, who very suddenly lost their father; and through their grief, asking questions, trying to come to terms with the unfairness of it all, and learning with guidance from their mom that, no matter what, he will always be their dad!

The Lighthouse Centre for Grieving Children greatly supported and guided the family through their grief. This book is not only dedicated to Jim, Regan and Jorja, but also the Lighthouse. After covering production costs, all proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to Lighthouse.

The book will also be used as a resource, and given to other children. Just this year there are 58 families who have lost a parent and are being supported by Lighthouse. An official book launch will be held Saturday April 6, 3-5 pm at Lighthouse, Rebecca and Bronte Rd.

The book is available at the office for $25 or by contacting us. It would be comforting to anyone who has experienced the death of a close relative or friend. There will also be copies in the church library. In addition, we are hoping that books may be purchased as donations to children currently being served by the Lighthouse.

Very proud parents and grandparents,

Jim and Judy Lilly
