Do You Knit or Crochet

shawl & cross

The MGUC Prayer Shawl Group is always looking for more knitters and crocheters to add to our supply. We are currently small in number and have supplied several shawls and blankets recently, so would welcome new helpers.

Our next meeting will be held at the home of Ellen Kaye on Thursday November 24 a 12 noon – bring your own lunch and coffee mug. You are always welcome to join us, or if you are unable to attend, you can knit on your own time. We can provide lots of easy patterns.

The shawl storage has now been placed in the file cabinets in the Children’s Chapel, along with instructions on how to package them. Feel free to offer one if you know of someone who is dealing with grief, illness, loneliness, sadness, anyone who would appreciate a warm hug and kind wishes from MGUC. There is a card attached to fill in the recipient’s name, so it can be recorded. So far well over 800 have been distributed.

You will also find above the file cabinet, some of the beautiful wooden crosses made by Tom Gilchrist that just fit comfortably in a hand. Believe me, they are much appreciated!
