Let us remember the gifts we have received from God, and in our turn become God’s giving hands in this world.
I wanted to send this note to express our gratitude for your commitment of time, talent and treasure during our 2018 Stewardship campaign. While the campaign officially ended at the end of December, 2017, we still were getting commitment cards coming in all the way up into March of this year!
At the start of our 2018 Stewardship campaign, we stated that our first response to God’s providence is gratitude that takes many forms. We are blessed here at Maple Grove in that we still have a vibrant, active and caring congregation that works hard for God’s mission in our community. So, once again, on behalf of the Church Council, a big THANK YOU for your kind generosity in supporting the church.

Our 2018 Stewardship campaign is almost finished!
“Our Generosity,” says the United Church, “is our response to God’s vast generosity in our own lives. It is a way to contribute to God’s mission in our world. It is how we make a positive difference in our own community through the mission of our congregation and beyond through the Mission and Service Fund.
When we think about giving our time, talent and treasure, we can consider a number of questions: What is God’s mission for us in our daily life? What is our mission in our community? How do we model compassion, provide community and offer hope? How do we serve God’s mission in the wider world?
Paul reminds us that we are to give thanks always for the grace of God given us in Christ Jesus (1 Cor. 1:4). These thanks are made tangible through our gifts. Please consider this when filling out your commitment card with generous pledges of your time, talents and treasure for 2018. The above chart shows the distribution of givings from last year. Please consider increasing your givings to one higher level – The Church needs you!

Maple Grove’s Stewardship Drive
Our 2018 Stewardship campaign is now underway! This year’s theme is “We Sing Thanksgiving”.
It is the time of the year when we raise awareness of the time, talent and treasure needs of our Church. We believe that we are called as individuals, families, congregations and a denomination to follow in the way of Jesus to bring about a world of justice and peace.
We invite you to join us in this campaign by giving an intentional and meaningful gift to this ministry by completing a 2018 Commitment Card found in the back of the pews or elsewhere around the church and placing it in the Stewardship box in the back foyer of the Church.
