Neighbourhood Care Network & Christians Against Poverty

Neighborhood Care Network (NCN) and

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) – join the Maple Grove team.

We are a group of Maple Grover’s who work with Kerr Street Mission to provide a helping hand to those in need. Those we help include recent immigrants from Afghanistan and the Ukraine plus others dealing with marriage breakdown, job loss and financial difficulties. We all deserve to be in a safe, secure environment and you can help make this happen.

Please feel free to contact me, John Berg at jgberg@cogeco.ca for further details and discussion. You will not be asked to do anything alone or that you wouldn’t be trained to handle.

Here are two courses for you to consider:

The Christians Against Poverty’s Money Course will be of interest if you need to learn how to budget and handle your own expenses.

The course will run on 3 consecutive Wednesday nights at Kerr Street Mission.

We will enjoy a meal together at 6:30 pm, and then move into our teaching time finishing up around 9:00 pm. The course will run on the following dates:

• October 12, 19, 26, 2022

• March 22, 29, April 5, 2023

• June 7, 14, 21, 2023

Contact John King to reserve your spot: john@kerrstreet.com | 905-845-7485 ext. 233

If you want to take the next step towards becoming a MGUC volunteer, attend the next NCN/CAP training session at Kerr Street Mission which is on Saturday, December 10th. We invite you and others in our Church who may be interested.

Please contact Paula Da Rocha to sign up. paula@kerrstreet.com

Thanks so much for all you do for your neighbors!
