Seconds for Stewardship – Good News! We have gifts to share!
It is that time of the year when we all are recovering from the many social events and responsibilities of the Christmas season. We’ve all heard it said that “actions speak louder than words,” and the new year provides us with a great opportunity for all of us to speak volumes without opening our mouths.
We are still looking for contributions of time, talent and treasure ot the Church for this year.
WHO ARE WE NOW?
Your Transition Team invites you to participate in a workshop on our identity as a congregation
SUNDAY, JANUARY 27th, from Noon till 2:00 p.m.
(lunch will be included)
Participants will have opportunity to share and reflect in small groups on:
- What we have learned about ourselves from our congregation’s history
- If our congregation today was person,

Seconds for Stewardship
Let us remember the gifts we have received from God, and in our turn become God’s giving hands in this world.
While our 2019 Stewardship campaign is officially closed, we still have only about half the Commitment cards collected compared to last year. For those of you who have made a pledge, we thank you! For those of you who have not yet made a pledge, please fill out a Commitment card and deposit it into the sealed box in the back foyer of the Church.
Celebrating the Gifts of Time, Talent, and Treasure
When: Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. (after worship)
Please consider contributing something from your family / cultural tradition!
Suggestions: Those with surnames beginning with the letters:
- A – M: Sandwiches or other “main course” items such as cheese & crackers, veggie plates, etc.
- N – Z: Desserts – cookies, squares, fruit, etc.
The Transition Team is in place to support our Intentional Interim Minister, Rev. Harry Disher. Interim ministry allows time for congregations to seek renewal, consider changes in mission and prepare for the permanent call of a new minister

“Stories from the Past to Strengthen our Future”
As a part of our 60th anniversary, some of our long term members will lift up the funny, moving stories of earlier years that show how Maple Grove developed the unique character we celebrate today.
These are the qualities of community we will carry into the future.
ONE SERVICE ONLY ON APRIL 29 AT 10:30
When: Wednesday June 14th, anytime between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m.
Where: The Friendship room at Maple Grove United Church
Who Should Attend: Anyone who wants a say in the future of Maple Grove. We especially want to see teenagers, young adults and those who have not been able to attend worship on a consistent basis.
