We have received a thank you note from the Yezedi refugee family many of you assisted through generous cash donations earlier this year. Both mother and daughter had been held as sex slaves by ISIS. The mother was released several years ago but the daughter was not found until earlier this year, when an NGO worker bought her out of slavery at a slave market. The funds we donated helped the mother to travel to Iraq to reunite with her daughter and to fund the lease of a bigger apartment so the family will have more space when the daughter arrives in Canada. The family hopes that one day they can come to a church service to thank us all in person. The story of their reunification is a bright light in a difficult year. Thank you for making this good news story possible.
