Stewardship Message News from the Grove
Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received. (1 Peter 4:10)
The United Church declares that “Christian stewardship is … everything we think, say and do after we say ‘I believe’. Our generosity is a way to contribute to God’s mission in our world. It is how we make a positive difference as individuals and families, in our own community through the mission of our congregation, and across our country and around the world through the Mission & Service of The United Church of Canada.
It is great to have your presence in our congregation. Thanks so much to all our donors for all the ways you make a difference to the
Church. We are grateful for your generous participation in the ministry and the mission of our congregation and the Mission & Service of The United Church of Canada. We cannot say thank you enough!
As a compassionate faith community, we have responded to the call to be the church in the past year by:
- Providing worship that speaks to the hope of our faith amidst the needs and concerns of our world;
- Strengthening our outreach in the community through our connection with Kerr Street Mission and refugee sponsorship;
- Providing a welcoming space for youth and young families to integrate into our church family;
- Study groups and book studies in person and online;
- Wonderful music to enhance our in person and recorded worship;
- Providing pastoral support in times of crisis and grief;
- Welcoming those who are seeking a new spiritual home;

We invite you to include a financial gift to the church. Practicing generosity with your money will not just make a real difference in other people’s lives through the ministry of the congregation of Maple Grove but will also make a real difference in yours. Generous giving is a meaningful spiritual practice. It will help you grow in your faith, and studies show it will actually make you feel happier and more positive.
